1. Install AVG
2. download updates:





in the top left corner of the program, you will see this:

Click on "test center"
This is the window that should come up:

Inside the Test center there are a few different things you can do; Control center, Virus Vault, Help Topics, Scheduler, Test Results.
Clicking on "Control Center" will take you to the programs home page
Clicking on "Virus Vault" will take you to the Virus vault, that shows you all the major threats of viruses that you're compare had acquired, but don't be worried, AVG automatically puts the virus in its vault and the virus is kept in a safe place.If you get a virus, you will see this:

You should click "Move to vault" IF you were not doing anything, otherwise, if you were working on something, and downloading other software, and you get this message, you can try clicking "Heal"
If you clicked "move to vault" you will be shown:

CLICK YES.
then AVG will ask you if you want to restart, a restart is required to finish putting the virus in the vault.
If you healed the object, you will get this message saying the object was successfully healed, or unsuccessfully healed. Click yes to restart your computer.

Clicking on the "Help topics" tab, simply opened a help window
Clicking on the "Scheduler" tab lets you change the time at which: AVG downloads updates, and what time AVG will preformed virus scans on your computer.

You can create a schedule, or edit one, although there is no reason to create or change any of them.
Clicking on "Test Results" will tell you all the test preformed on your computer since AVG was installed:
